Updates! For 6 months in a row, Boyd remains the most popular and most requested male model at ModelWatch. In response to requests from the viewers, we are updating his Interview with the launching of 3 poems written by Boyd, as a prelude to an upcoming Book he plans to publish soon...

We have also planned a new interview with Boyd coming up!

He's the naked guy with Brazilian top model Caroline Ribeiro! That photoshoots was way before he was chosen as one of Dior Homme's most celebrated male models. Everybody knows Hedi Slimane and his drive for perfection- choosing Boyd Holbrook only confirmed one thing- the guy is destined to go places!

Says Elite's Nathalie Bernier, mentor, agent and friend "Boyd had quite an auspicious beginning of his career, landing the Christian Dior exclusive campaign. It was a thrill to see him start off with such a bang!"

Already a favorite among top fashion photographers, Boyd is now being labeled as the "male model" ideal. He is probably the most popular male model on the editorial front, amassing back-to-back gigs from across the Continent.

Updates! Boyd has been known in fashion circles as 'that model-poet' and since we figured he likes to write poetry, we deemed it our luck to be the first to feature some of his work.

With his friend and fellow male model Jamie Strachan doing the sketches & illustrations, Boyd is planning to launch his own book of poetry soon.

As a sample, you can browse 3 selected poems here:

Only 21 years old, the 6'1" looker is quite famous in Europe as well as in Asia, particularly in Japan where modelwatchers in that Asian fashion hotspot are some of the most sophisticated.

Elite NYC considers him as one of their top bets in the current race for the next male "megamodel". Competing with Boyd for this title includes David Smith at IMG, Nick Bryant at VModels, Derek Hunchins at NY Models and Jeppe Zeller, also at IMG.

After a brief stint in Japan, Boyd is back in the Big Apple, and with his comeback, Modelwatch once again break new grounds, as we feature, the website's most requested male model!

Jed: Everybody is simply curious about how you became a model, could you tell us how it all started and what would be your first modeling gig?

Boyd: My 1st job was a Bill Blass campaign with Steven Klein. So much was going on, I had no idea what to do, so I just sat back and watched.

Larger than Life: The thing I enjoy most is taking on different characters that fulfill different art direction." Boyd Holbrook for Gucci by Tom Ford. Photo courtesy of NextModels.

Jed: How were you discovered?

Boyd: I was discovered while working as a carpenter for a theater when a girl watching approached me to see if I wanted to move to NY to model.

MW: Was it easy or difficult for you to be convinced to become a model?

Boyd: I still don't believe that I am a "model"...Hopefully just a person that people enjoy being around.

I respect my agency very much for the way they respect me and treat me as an individual. By being with Elite, I have been so much more successful with my career rather than being with any other agency. Photo courtesy of Elite at modelwire.com
Jed: Some models told us of a "roller coaster ride" when it comes to 'making it' in the industry, how was the experience so far? Are you enjoying the ride, so to speak?

Boyd: The thing I enjoy most is taking on different characters that fulfill different art direction. I was a skydiver and a rock star for Hugo Boss, which came out really great in the final edition.

Jed: Favorite modeling projects so far? We know you got lots of high-profile work, but which are the ones that really made an "impact"?

Boyd: My favorite campaigns are Dior with Inez Van Lamsweerde shot in New York .

Hugo Boss in Berlin, Germany and New York with Fabien Baron.

a) Favorite runway shows: Dior and Calvin Klein
b) Favorite cities: Of course, anywhere in Kentucky, NYC, Berlin, & London
c) Favorite fashion shoot Location: Anywhere with sun
d) Favorite models: I don't really have favorite models, but all faces are interesting to me.

"That models are empty head bodies, that's the most difficult part being a model"...
