| LANE CARLSON: Be true to yourself and don't change who you are. The modeling world can be scary at times, so its important to have the support of family and friend that know you and respect you. |
The Carlson Twins represent the ideal American guys- handsome, confident, goal-driven, possessing an admirable physique and most importantly, patriotic.
As they continue to climb to the top of the modeling industry, they remain loyal and receptive to their audience and to their fans.
Maintaining one quality website of their own, the Carlson twins, are miles apart from their contemporaries- they made it their commitment to remain responsive to the people that admired them and put them on top.
After an impressive debut for Abercrombie and Fitch, where they were shot by master photographer Bruce Webber, the twins continue to remain in the public's collective consciousness with magazine cover features, articles, TV appearances and more photoshoots.
Their fans love them, America adore them. And it's about time, ModelWatch feature the Carsons, as they continue to make an impact in the world of modeling.
ModelWatch: How will you define success at this point in your careers?
Lane and Kyle: Success for us at this point is more than wealth and recognition. It's about having the authority to make choices in our career and being able to see how our choices and actions impact others.
Charity events, answering correspondence, including emails, messages, attending and being the source of benefits... Being able to have a positive impact and help others is a great success in our eyes.
ModelWatch: What have been your first impressions of modeling?
Lane and Kyle: We had this idea in the beginning that all models were prissy and conceited; We were a little freaked out about becoming male models.
We didn't want our friends or family to think of us as prissy and conceited. We went as far as to keep it all a secret, which was pretty tough as soon as our pictures started surfacing.

| THREE'S A COMPANY: "We went as far as to keep it all a secret, which was pretty tough as soon as our pictures started surfacing." Lane and Kyle comments on the beginnings of their modeling. |
ModelWatch: Did that impression changed over time?
Lane and Kyle: We couldn't have been more wrong. Of course, there are a few models out there who think they are God's gift to the world but, overall, many of the models are pretty great people.
Our friends and family have been great! They know who we are and treat the same regardless.
We were very fortunate to be given this opportunity and we will never forget the friends and family that helped us along the way.
ModelWatch: Modeling has given both of you some opportunity perhaps not possible if you did not pursue modeling, what would be some of these experiences ...?
Lane: My most memorable experience was being able to throw out the first pitch at the Minnesota Twins game last year. I have played baseball all my life, and am a huge fan. To be able to go down to the field, meet the players, and throw out the first pitch with my brother was a great experience.
Kyle: My most memorable experience was being on the MTV Mandy Moore Show. MTV treated us very, very well! We met a lot of great friends on the trip and had a blast taping the show.
 |
| KYLE CARLSON: Modeling, for us, is a full time job. We take it very seriously. We spend hours each day responding to emails and messages. We don't sit back and have other people doing the work for us. |
ModelWatch: What have been the places you have gone to that left some good memories for you? What have been your favorite places in the world?
Lane: My favorite place to visit is South Beach, Miami. I try to visit as often as possible. They have a great Volleyball tournament each year, and the whole atmosphere in South Beach is great. It's also a nice little change from the Frozen Tundra of Minnesota during the winter months!
Kyle: My favorite places to visit are Germany and Minnesota. I spent a few weeks in Germany this past year and had a great time, and can't wait to go back. I also love going back home to visit friends and family, and always have a great time!
ModelWatch: Page Parkes said that the next step for a successful male model to pursue is an acting career. Are there any plans to enter the movies in the near future?
Lane: Yes, actually, I have been studying acting in NY and LA and we have been offered a few movie roles, but we want to make sure its going to be something we both feel strong and have our hearts into. Acting has become a great passion of mine and I feel has opened a whole new chapter in my life.
