Highly personalized approach combined with the skills and the wisdom he learned from his personal experiences as a model and the belief in the models he represent. That is how we look at NAM's approach as a progressive and reputable modeling agency.

Based in Toronto, Canada, NAM is fast acquiring a reputation for having a hands-on approach in model management and representation.

As the agency stated in their website:

"NAM provides the highest level of professionalism and we offer our clients a wide range of unique looks for the current market place and the new faces of the future"

As evidenced by one of the agency's most accomplished male model, Milan, who is now considered one of the most sought-after models in the world, NAM has the eye for spotting the look and the talent demanded by the Fashion Industry today.

ModelWatch in our quest to bring to you the best agencies around the world features N.A.M. Personal Management- the tales and the insights behind the success of what was becoming the most celebrated and highly regarded modeling agency in Canada.

MW: I think ModelWatch and its viewers would like to know from you about NAM as a modeling agency. Please tell us something about it?

Norwayne: NAM as an agency is a small boutique personal management company that considers ourselves to be a family...we work together, play together & most of all we mean the world to each other.

NAM's focus is directed towards the international market seeking a high fashion image that looks for the faces of the future.

MW: Give us an idea of how the agency started. Who were the people instrumental in making it a prominent modeling agency that it is now today?

Norwayne: NAM started out of shear luck & desire to change Toronto's idea of what a model should be like. When I saw that my career as a model wasn't going anywhere a fellow model mentioned to me I would make a very good agent. Her thoughts were that I always shared a good sense of what she would like her agent to be. Hence, here I am today .

In order for me to learn this industry I went to where I thought was the place to learn. I went straight to the top, New York City.

This is where I met the top bookers at that time in the industry from agencies such as IMG, DNA, Wilhelmina, Hunt Men and Major Models. These were my peers who teach me what to look for in a face of a model...

MW: In retrospect, what would you consider as some of the most important achievements of the agency? What makes you proud of NAM?

Norwayne: Getting the respect I deserved from the international market that I should have gotten from my own.

Seeing the models we represent in the pages of some of the top magazines [L'Uomo Vogue, ID, The Face, Numero, YesPlease, GQ, American Vogue, Bazaar, V Magazine],models on the runways for the top designers [PRADA, Calvin Klein, Roberto Cavalli, Burberry, Fendi, Costume National, Ralph Lauren, Valentino, Armani, Vivienne Westwood, John Galliano] and working with the top agencies in all the major cities in the world. What we are most proud of at NAM is watching our family grow as an agency but remaining humble as a team.

MW: As a modeling agency, how would you describe your relationships and dealings with the Fashion industry in such capitals as Milan, Paris, London and New York? Of these fashion capitals, which are the most challenging, the most exciting, the most difficult, and the most innovative?

Norwayne: My relationship with fashion industry in such capitals as Milan, Paris, London & New York is that of a child's mind with eyes wide open ready to learn. These markets are my source of knowledge because they are the leaders and who best to learn from but those who lead the pack.

Just to point out no cities or markets are the same and each of the cities has their own way of approaching the industry. The most challenging I would say would be New York because this market is considered the pinnacle of the industry. The Big Apple is were the most successful entities of our industry settles. The most exciting would be Milan, most difficult would Paris while the most innovative would be crowned to London.

MW: We have come to admire the modeling careers of Milan, Julian Wiersma, Anthony Carlesi, Jeffrey Casciano , Jonathon Zackus, and Andrew Stetson. Could you tell us your relationship with these models? How did you get to discover them/ represent them and what have been some of their most recent modeling projects?

Norwayne: These guys are like my kids. They are a part of me and the heart of NAM. These are of the first guys I found when I started this company, so they are my family as well as my friends.

JONATHAN ZAKUS

Thank the Lord for friends with good scouting eyes! A friend who spotted him walking along the beach sent Jonathan to me. A sun kissed Jonathan walk through my door and his classic beauty WOWED me at the age of 19.

Jonathan has done numerous editorials for magazines such as Gentleman's Options. He has worked in Spain, Tokyo, Paris, New York and Milan. Lets not forget the runway shows Jonathan such Romeo Gigli, Antonio Miro, Andrew McKenzie, Philip DuBuc, Envers, Rudas & Issey Myakie just to list a few .

Jonathan currently is based in Montreal, Canada completing his degree in Applied Human Sciences. He still finds time to model snagging such illustrious Canadian campaigns as Roots Clothing, Report International, Rosemere Catalogue, Terra Nostra and recently was chosen as the spokesperson for the lunching of a new men's cologne call Visit by Azzaro

MILAN KROUZIL

I first scouted Milan's brother Jeno in the subway of downtown Toronto. Shortly thereafter I was introduced to Milan at the age of sixteen. I was all I tingle, as only an agent can experience, I KNEW Milan was a star. Within a week Milan was test shot by one of Toronto's top male shooter. Then I hoped a plane so fast to New York City, scrambled out a cab to hit the top agencies.

But to my surprise not a soul seemed to 'get' Milan. Frustrated but never doubtful I clamored over the IMG and presented Milan's photos to Chris Forberg...and immediately I saw that look in his eyes he 'got it'! Milan was signed and shortly after Peter Lindbergh 'got it' as well for Italian Vogue.

The momentum was picking up for Milan and it was Burberry campaign shot by Mario Testino along side Kate Moss. Then to Paris for the Lagerfeld campaign shot by Mr. Lagerfeld himself. Then the collections hit and in his first season in Italy, Milan landed 12 high profile shows including Valentino, Calvin Klein, Armani, Costume National to name a few.

Currently Milan has opted for a more sophisticated look...his hair is short! This past season in Italy Milan landed 15 shows and 11 in Paris.

Upcoming campaigns include Moshcino and Nuevas Tendencias and an editorial for V Magazine with top model Anouk.

ModelWatch is pleased to announce the upcoming Interview with Milan Krouzil, stay tuned!
